Hyderabad, Telangana-owned Singareni Collieries Company Limited (SCCL) is standing as an example to all Government organizations in the country not only in coal production and turnover but also in usage of Information Technology, its Director General of Mines Safety R Subramanian said. Speaking after inaugurating “Information Technology in Mining and Way forward” Conference here on Tuesday, Mr Subramanian said that "Singareni is the only mining Company that is using Information Technology (IT) in all departments and in the coming period, its usage has to increase. Production achievement has to happen with advanced technology, he said and expressed hope by 2024, the Company’s target of 100 million tonnes of Coal production will be achieved. Singareni going ahead with IT usage is not enough and it had used mobile services extensively besides strengthening of safety issues, he said.
