A dust storm has enveloped swathes of Rajasthan bordering Pakistan for the past few days. Strong winds carrying dust from Karachi has turned the sky into yellow over Bikaner, Churu, Barmer, Pokhran, Jodhpur, Jalore, Jaisalmer, Hanumangarh and Sri Ganganagar. According to the weather department, the dust storm, which is active for the past 3-4 days and is expected to continue for another 2-3 days. The wind is blowing at the speed of approximately 30kmph disrupted normal life by snapping power for more 12 hours which also affected the water supply.  Even the vehicular traffic has been affected by the dust. Although because of so much dust suspended in the sky, the temperature has come down slightly, it causing breathing problems and people allegoric to dust are not even venturing out of their home. While people of Bikaner are facing for drinking water problem, the dust storms have hit the farmers of Jalore as they are not able to sow seeds.
