The clean river campaign on river Narmada is going on much faster than the Ganga Action plan of the Central Government. The Chief Minister Mr. Shivraj Singh Chauhan is personally devoted to Narmada plan. Last year he launched Narmada yatra - Nomo Nanami Narmada and it is world's biggest river campaign. About 7 crores saplings of the fruit trees were planted in its banks. This project carry a special name of "Hari Chunari". On January 24- the day of Narmada Jayanti to make the river pollution free works costing 130.60 crore of rupees started. The Chief Minister laid the foundation stone for sewage treatment plants at Amarkantak Dindori and Budni costing 93 crores of rupees. From the Jayanti day Narmada week being observed up to January 30.The Chief Minister performed the Bhumi Pujan of works at Nemawar Amarkantak, Dindori and Mandleshwar. Programmes being held in all the districts of Narmada basin. The Narmada Seva Mission is constituted by joining 23 department to execute 3 year work plan on the ...
