SHILLONG, Nov 14: The Meghalaya government has been advised to consider the construction of an alternative entry road into Shillong.
“We have suggested the need to construct another road which will serve as an alternative road because as of now the existing road through the Umiam dam is the only lifeline to the state capital from Guwahati and other parts of the country,” a member of the State Assembly’s Public Accounts Committee (PAC), Zenith Sangma informed after a meeting held with the officials of the Transport department here.
