Brand JCB gives Rajasthan global pride: CM Vasundhara Raje 12.4.2018 DNA: Opinion
In 2014, when the chief minister Vasundhara Raje had come to inaugurate the JCB plant, it was being operated under a tent. And in the last three-and-a-half years, it has transformed into a world class manufacturing set up with state-of-the-art facility. It is just a small reflection of what Rajasthan has achieved in all those years. “We had promised to create 15 lakh jobs in 5 years. Earthmoving and construction equipment company JCB today rolled 3000th machine manufactured at its plant here with 'Made in Rajasthan' tagline. Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje visited the plant at Mahindra SEZ where JCB group chairman Lord Bamford briefed her about the facility. Nearly 30 per cent of the workforce are women, the chairman informed the chief minister who also met with women engineers and staffers. Adani Transmission bags Rajasthan project 22.2.2018 General News
Adani Transmission today said it has received a letter of intent (LOI) for one inter-state transmission project in Rajasthan. The company has received the LOI from PFC Consulting Ltd, an arm of Power Finance Corporation, to construct, own, operate and maintain the transmission project in the state of Rajasthan, a company statement said. The project 'Fatehgarh-Bhadla Transmission Limited' is primarily being constructed to wheel out renewable energy from Rajasthan to different beneficiaries within and outside of the state. This project has been awarded to Adani Transmission Ltd through a tariffbased competitive bidding process and will strengthen the company's existing presence in Rajasthan, the statement said.

6 SEZ developers get more time to implement projects 22.2.2018 General News
The commerce ministry has given more time to six special economic zone (SEZ) developers including TCS and Mahindra World City (Jaipur) for implementing their projects. The decision to extend the validity of formal approvals to these developers was taken during the meeting of the board of approval (BoA) on February 5. The board is the highest decision-making body on SEZs. It is headed by Commerce Secretary Rita Teaotia. TCS SEZ Indore has sought more time for its IT zone in Madhya Pradesh. It has got time till February 2019. Similarly, Mahindra World City (Jaipur) has proposed to set up a IT and hardware manufacturing zone in Jaipur. "The board approved extension of the validity of the formal approval for a period of three months up to April 30," the minutes of the BoA meeting said. The Mahindra Group's real estate arm Mahindra Lifespace Developers Limited (MLDL) plans to raise $50 million from International Finance Corporation (IFC). The investment will support company's plan to develop three industrial clusters (ICs) in Rajasthan, Gujarat and Maharashtra at a cost of over $210 million.IFC proposed investment is a combination of equity and subordinated debt, with an equal investment from MLDL in a combination of instruments and assets. A family feud over a piece of land resulted in the death of a seventy-five-year-old woman after the parties to the dispute—two groups of the same family—came at loggerheads late on Thursday evening.
