TURA, July 19: Tribal minority bodies of Garo Hills have came out in denial of claims that they are demanding separate autonomous councils as had been widely reported in the media.
In a statement on Thursday, the All Bodo Students’ Union, Meghalaya Koch Association, All Rabha Students’ Union, Meghalaya Rabha Jatio Sewa Sangha, Meghalaya State Committee (MSC) of Bodo Sahitya Sabha and MSC Bodo Sahitya Sabha clarified on the matter.

Sportspersons from eight districts of the Tribal Sub-Plan Area (TSP) of the state will now be able to become constables in the Rajasthan Police.
