No power supply today 17.8.2017 Deccan Herald - News
There will be no power supply from 10 am to 4 pm on August 18 due to the oil leakage in the 31.5 MVA Transformer-2 of the 66/11 KV Kanteerava GIS Muss.

The areas to be affected are - Cubbonpet, Chowlagalli, Nrupathunga Road, University of Agricultural Sciences office, Sunkalpet, Nagrathpet, PRS Lane, OTC Road, SP Road, SJP Road, Dharmaraya Swamy temple Road, Raj Bhavan Road, KG Road and the surrounding areas.

People can dial 1912 to lodge their complaints or can log onto www.bescom.org. They can also SMS to 5888.

Two new Rapid Exit Taxiways (RETs) will be commissioned at the Kempegowda International Airport on Thursday, boosting the runways capacity from 34 to 38 Air Traffic Movements (ATMs) per hour. This will be progressively increased to 44 ATMs, implying an estimated 200 additional daily flights. On Wednesday, KIA operators, Bangalore International Airport Ltd BIAL) announced the conclusion of the runway upgradation work, taken up in February this year to handle growing air traffic. Flight delays Flights are likely to be delayed for about 20 minutes between 11 am and 2.30 pm on Thursday, as the commissioning and related preparatory works of the RETs are scheduled from 6 am to 3.30 pm.
