Army commando Mukut Bihari Meena (25) was on Saturday morning cremated with full state honours at his native place Ladaniya village in Khanpur area of Jhalawar district. Thousands of people from across Hadouti region, along with army, police and administrative officials paid their last respects to the jawan as they bid him a teary adieu.  Meena was on Wednesday afternoon martyred in forests of Kupwada region in Jammu and Kashmir during army’s encounter with militants. Meena’s five-month-old daughter Aarvi performed the last rites. Prior to that, additional district collector of Jhalawar Bhawani Singh Palawat read out condolence message by chief minister Vasundhara Raje. The 141st Rath Yatra of Lord Jagannath commenced this morning in Puri, Odisha and Ahmedabad, Gujarat. The Rath Yatra is taken out every year on Ashadhi Bij, the second day of Ashad month, as per the Hindu calendar.
