SHILLONG, Aug 18: State Transport Minister, HDR Lyngdoh has called for police to take harsh action against traffic violators such that the number of deaths and injuries resulting out of accidents in the state are reduced.
“It is better to be harsh for good otherwise we cannot control injuries and untimely loss of lives due to road accidents,” Lyngdoh said while addressing a Road Safety Advocacy organized by the Transport Department and the Deputy Commissioner’s office here on Friday.
