Indo-France Accords 26.1.2020 Central Chronicle
During the ongoing visit of President of France Mr.Emmanuel Macron to India signed 14 agreements of strategic importance on Defence cooperation both the nation can use each other military bases. Sometime ago India and America also signed same type of agreement to use each other military bases, joint defence exercise and exchange of military weapon armaments and related material. The France is already collaborating with India under the Make in India policy and building nuclear submarines at Mazgaon Dock of Indian Navy at the Western Naval Command at Mumbai. Two such nuclear submarines have been inducted into the Indian Navy fleet. The Indo-French Defence Pacts came amides Chinese expansionist design to lord over Pacific Ocean trade sea routes and to make its presence felt in Indian Ocean.
