House Speaker Nancy Pelosi has her reasons for limiting her impeachment articles to offenses stemming from the abuses and violations related to Ukraine. 'It's Happening': Republicans Ask SCOTUS To Overturn Roe V. Wade 3.1.2020 Crooks Liars
Reproductive rights advocates on Thursday seized on an amicus brief signed by more than 200 Republican members of Congress, as well as two conservative Democrats, asking the U.S. Supreme Court to consider overturning Roe vs. Wade as the latest example of the assault on women's freedom. The brief was signed by 168 members of the House and 39 senators. Two House Democrats joined their Republican colleagues, led by House Minority Whip Steve Scalise (R-La.) in the effort—Reps. Collin Peterson (D-Minn.) and Dan Lipinski (D-Ill.). Lipinski drew the ire of progressive Democrat Marie Newman, who is challenging him in the 2020 primary. "His position in Congress jeopardizes the health of women in IL-03 and across the country," Newman tweeted . "My opponent does not trust women and is not fit to represent us." The brief was filed ahead of the court's hearing on June Medical Services v. Gee, concerning a Louisiana law requiring abortion providers to have admitting privileges at a nearby hospital—one of numerous ...

Teen Vogue Surveys Politics of 20 Youths; Not One Conservative 23.10.2019 NewsBusters
You pretty much know that the leftist hive of Teen Vogue would exclude conservatives in its survey of youth politics when the synopsis of each young person from 16 to 24 featured is prefaced by the sentient being's preferred pronouns. Preferred pronouns, of course, are one of the easy symbols to recognize that any such article would act as if conservative or Republican youth would be considered to be creatures from another world thus not even within the Teen Vogue realm of being considered for ...

AM Joy Guest: Waiting To Impeach ‘At The Ballot Box’ Is Dangerous 21.9.2019 Crooks Liars
An AM Joy panel discussed the reluctance of moderate and conservative Democrats to support impeachment, even as each day brings new alarming information about Donald Trump’s attempt to strong-arm Ukraine into boosting his re-election chances by digging up dirt on Joe Biden’s son. Guest Jeff Hauser, executive director of the Revolving Door Project , warned that any continued reluctance to impeach Trump except “at the ballot box” in 2020 gives Trump time to do something even worse than he already has. “Over the next 15 months or so, Donald Trump has all sorts of opportunities to undermine the fairness of the next election,” Hauser said. He pointed out that before the 2018 midterm elections, Trump sent the military to the southern border, claiming that was needed to protect the United States from a caravan of refugees fleeing violence in Central America. Given that the refugees “posed literally no national security threat,” Hauser continued, it proved that Trump was "willing to use the military as a prop to ...
