JC Asha, 27 years, who has worked with popular ITcompanies in Bangalore is the contestant. After completing her schooling in Tumkur, she passed her engineering in Sri Devi institute of Technology, in Tumkur, in 2008.

On coming to Mandya, she got to visit her native place Gubbahalli, which has been denied basic amenities like drinking water and roads till date. This was the drive force for Asha to enter the fray.

She has been staying in the village for the past six months and has been creating awareness on the importance of voting. Speaking to DeccanHerald, Asha said that she is not seeking votes but has been advising the residents to take part in the voting process.
