New Delhi The government has transferred Rs 5.6 lakh crore to beneficiaries of NREGA, LPG subsidies and other benefits using Aadhaar-enabled payment system. It is also facilitating 9.1 crore electronic transactions such as passport services and land records through the e-governance portal. “Good governance through the Aadhaar-enabled Payment System (AePS) has been an area of focus for the government in the last four years. We have transferred a total of around Rs 5.6 lakh crore across to beneficiaries of NREGA, LPG subsidies, etc. using AePS.
