Microsoft builds digital solution for CBSE to prevent paper leaks 13.8.2018 Sify Finance
The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), which came under heavy criticism this year following the leak of class 10 mathematics paper and class 12 economics paper, has forged a partnership with tech giant Microsoft to prevent such leaks in the future.

Even after the second round of admissions, 50 per cent seats of Masters in Engineering in the state remain vacant. According to the data shared by the Admissions Committee for Professional Courses (ACPC), of the 5,181 seats, 2,527 remain vacant whereas only 2,654 seats have been allotted. Experts believe that the number of vacant seats will increase after the students confirm their admissions. "Many times, after allotment, students need to pay fees to confirm their admissions but not everyone does it. Hence, the number of vacant seats are likely to increase," an official said. Around 74 colleges offer admissions in Masters in Engineering on 5,181 seats through ACPC. Students can pay the fees till August 8 to confirm their admissions. Interestingly, niche courses in engineering have barely caught students' interests. Textile Engineering in LD College had seven vacant seats, Thermal Engineering, Software Engineering and Information Technology courses had 12, 13 and 17 vacant seats, respectively. The ...
