CASO launched in south Kashmir 27.2.2020 Central Chronicle

Srinagar, Security forces on Thursday launched a Cordon and Search Operation (CASO) in south Kashmir district of Shopian, official sources said. They said troops of Rashtriya Rifles (RR), CRPF and Special Operation Group (SOG) of Jammu and Kashmir police launched a joint search at Aglar Zainpora, Shopian following a tip-off about the presence of militants this morning. Security forces sealed all exit points and launched house –to-house searches, they said adding the operation was on when the reports last came in. Meanwhile, additional security forces and police personnel have been deployed in the adjacent areas to prevent any law and order problem.
