Bhubaneshwar, Oct. 31: Campaign Against Child Labour (CACL), a national network of more than 6,000 organisations, is going to organise a national convention from November 20 to 22 in the city.
The convention aims at meaningful interaction among children for the eradication of child labour. The theme of the event is "Hum Bachche Saath Saath Bal-Mazdoori ke Khilaf (Children Together Against Child Labour)".
More than 1,000 children delegates, from across the country are expected to participate in the event. A major chunk of them will be child labourers and school-going children, along with 500 adults, including escorts, facilitators, volunteers and NGO representatives, who will participate in the convention.

New Delhi, Oct. 31: Pulling up the Centre and the NCT governments for not doing enough to root out the menace of child labour from the country, the Delhi high court on Wednesday sought explanation from them for branding children employed in a confectionery here as "neglected children" without conducting a probe.
"How can you come to such a finding without initiating any inquiry? Is it not required to look into the matter? You cannot justify the action," a bench comprising Chief Justice M.K.
