Twinkle Kalia, 35, who claims to be the first woman ambulance driver in Delhi, is all set to contest the municipal corporation elections from Kishanganj in north Delhi on a Swaraj India party ticket. Kalia has been rushing the poor and the needy to hospitals during emergencies for the last 14 years now. For Twinkle, it all started with an ambulance that her parents gave her at the time of her wedding. Her husband Himanshu Kalia had asked for an ambulance as dowry to serve the poor and needy free of cost. "When my parents inquired about dowry, my husband refused to take anything. But when they insisted, he asked for an ambulance, as till then he was renting an ambulance to help the poor," Twinkle said. She started driving in the absence of drivers and soon it became a daily affair for her. Twinkle and Himanshu now own eight ambulances and two hearse vans. Pakistani actress and former Bigg Boss contestant Veena Mallik has ended her three year old marriage with Asad Bashir Khan Khattak, after a family court granted them divorce. As per reports, the Lahore court accepted Veena's 'Khula' (divorce) application, and gave its verdict in her favour after non pursuance of the case by her former husband. Since, Veena had filed for divorce, she'll have to return 25 percent of the dowry money known as 'haq mehr' to Khatak.  Veena and Asad got married in an intimate wedding on December 2013. They have two children from their marriage. Word has it, that they decided to split when Asad started objecting to Veena's desire to continue working in movies post marriage whereas Asad wanted her to look after their children.
