The government is in the process of preparing a strategy for making India a hub for data analytics and cloud computing. A roadmap for data analytics will be prepared by the Ministry of Electronics and IT, which will help in improving decision making in government. A centre of excellence (CoE) for data analytics will be set up to leverage on big databases like GST Network, digital payments, e-gov databases, health records, census. The proposal for the CoE is likely to be approved by the end of this year.
