Aviation major proposes to set up Rs 400-cr R&D facility in state 23.5.2017 The Tribune
Tribune News Service Chandigarh, May 22 Pratt and Whitney, a global aviation major, has committed to setting up its R&D facility at an investment of Rs 400 crore in Haryana. The Singapore New Water Authority has agreed to work with Haryana for setting up a drinking water institute and rejuvenating 14,000 water bodies in the state. Besides, several leading companies have evinced interest in setting up units in the state. These include Hyflux, Ecosoft, Ascot, Mapletree Logistics etc. Some CEOs have evinced a keen interest in setting up smart cities and healthcare units. These offers were made when Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar, who is leading a nine-member delegation, went round the MRO facility of Pratt & Whitney to understand the dynamics for developing such a facility in Haryana. The delegation also visited the new water facility of the New Water Authority of Singapore and had a roundtable with top CEOs on the second day of the visit to Singapore today.
