Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore puts Kotputli on road to development 20.1.2018 DNA: Opinion
The faith reposed by people of Kotputli in debutant politician Colonel Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore has paid off well. The first time MP from Jaipur Rural and union minister had received the biggest lead from Kotputli, which he has not forgotten by paying special attention to this area.  Less than a year ago, it was difficult to spot the road between Paota and Nareheda that directly connects 16 gram panchayats. There were so many potholes. Around 50,000 people in the area had been facing huge problem. The dust was spreading menace of tuberculosis and silicosis. It was tough to take patients to hospital on bumpy and dusty road. However, thanks to the Rathore, a 10-metre wide proper road has been built.   Rathore’s working style and development works in the area suggest that his vision is focused on common man. From his MPLED fund he has constructed a community centre that is being used for wedding and other functions for a meagre rent thus saving poor people huge sum on marriage expenditure. Man shot dead in Maha 19.1.2018 General News
A 26-year-old man was allegedly shot dead today by two unidentified persons at Sanaswadi village near Koregaon Bhima in Shirur tehsil, around 60 kms from here, police said. Sanaswadi is the village, where violence had broken out on January 1 during the bicentennial event to commemorate the Koregaon-Bhima battle, in which British imperial forces comprising Dalits had defeated the army of Peshwas. One person had died in the violence. Police sources said the deceased, identified as Gangaram Dasarwad (26), was shot at by two bike-borne assailants. "People around thought that the deceased had met with an accident and he was rushed to a hospital, where it was declared that he died after being shot at," a police officer said. He added that police are looking for CCTV footages of the area and a probe is on. "It seems that he was killed out of some personal enmity...We are in the process of registering the case under IPC section 302 (murder)," the officer said.

Woman gram sevak arrested for Rs 12,000 bribe 19.1.2018 General News
The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) of Thane police has arrested a woman gram sevak of Tawa gram panchayat in Dahanu in Palghar district for accepting Rs 12,000 bribe, an official said today. The woman Bhavana Dhole, 41, was arrested yesterday. In order to nab her, a trap was laid at the Thane ACB late last evening at the panchyat office, the official said. "Dhole was arrested for accepting Rs 12,000 from the complainant for issuing the NOC for power supply to his house. She sought Rs 10,000 for herself and Rs 2,000 for the village sarpanch," he said. The woman has been booked under various sections of the Prevention of Corruption Act.
