MP twin train derailment: rail traffic hit, several trains diverted 5.8.2015 deccanherald.com
Rail traffic has been hit Madhya Pradesh and neighboring states after two trains derailed while crossing a swollen Machak river near Harda late last night, leaving over 20 dead.

Nearly 25 trains from Mumbai have being diverted and trains from Punjab, Uttar Pradesh and Madhya Pradesh have been stopped.

The trains that have been diverted this morning include Amritsar-Hazur Sahib Nanded Express, CST-Amritsar Express and the CST-Howrah Mail train the Hazrat Nizamuddin-Vasco Express, the Bhusaval-Itarsi train, the Gorakhpur Kushinagar Express.

Several parents in Goa today blocked the main roads and bridges across the state and allegedly pelted some buses with stones while demanding English to be made the medium of instruction and government grants for every academic year. The demonstrations led to major traffic jams in various parts of the state and cancellation of bus operations by the state-run Kadamba Transport Corporation Limited (KTCL) whose vehicles were damaged in the attack. The flash demonstrations that started in Margao, Panaji, Mapusa, Vasco and Ponda cities simultaneously crippled the normal life. At about 8 AM, the Margao-Panjim National Highway was blocked by the agitators at Bambolim near here. The bridges, including Zuari, Mandovi, Borim and Banastarim, which are the major links between North and South Goa, were also blocked. The agitators hurled stones on several KTCL buses.
