Schedule Caste and Schedule Tribe (SC/ST) special court on Tuesday sentenced three youths to the death penalty for raping a 30-year-old woman and murdering her along with her minor son. The court also imposed a fine of Rs 75,000 on each of them under various sections of IPC, Arms Act and SC/ST Act. The three were booked in December 2012, in Udhyog Nagar police station of the city for charges of robbery, gang rape and murder.   Special SC/ST court judge Girish Kumar Agrawal convicted Kapil alias Anna, Imran alias Dilliwala, both residents of Udhyog Nagar area of Kota city and Tipu alias Sultan alias Aabeed of Tonk district to death penalty under section 302/34 of IPC, told special public prosecutor (SPP), SC/ST court, Kota Kamal Kant Sharma. All the three convicts are about 25-27 years old, he added.  The court also sentenced the three to 10 years of imprisonment and imposed a fine of Rs. 20,000 over each of the three under section 376/2G and seven years of separate imprisonment under section 397 of IPC, ...
