Independence Day 2018: Shankar Mahadevan's 'breathless' tribute to the nation gets a thumbs up from PM Modi 15.8.2018 DNA: Money
As India celebrates its 72nd Independence Day this August 15, 2018 the whole country seems drowned in patriotic zeel and enthusiasm. While a number of B-Town celebs took to their respective social media handles to share their views and wishes for the countrymen on Independence Day , noted music composer and singer Shankar Mahadevan paid a 'breathless' tribute to the 'vibrant nation' of today's times.  Shankar shared a video clip of him, singing his tribute to the country in his famous 'breathless' fashion. The singer has managed to bring together all the commendable initiatives taken by PM Narendra Modi in a single song which is of about one minute 33 seconds duration. Mumbai: 43 injured in fire after boiler blast at BPCL refinery in Chembur area 8.8.2018 DNA: Top News
At least 43 workers were injured after a fire broke out following a boiler blast in the refinery of Bharat Petroleum in Mumbai this afternoon, officials said. The incident took place at the public sector oil firm's plant on the Mahul Road in Chembur area of East Mumbai around 2.45 PM, they said. Forty-three workers were injured in the incident, said Shahaji Umap, Deputy Commissioner of Police (Zone-VI). After preliminary treatment at BPCL's first aid centre, 22 of them were allowed to go home, whereas 21 were shifted to nearby hospital in Chembur, he said. One of them was in the intensive care unit, he said. Nine fire tenders, two foam tenders and two jumbo tankers were pressed into service to douse the blaze. Days after Aadhaar helpline number was found pre-installed in many phones resulting in massive outrage, the UIDAI has come out with a detailed statement. Initially, UIDAI was blamed for the installing the number before Google came out with a clarification that it was an error on their part and they had hard-coded the number in Android phones.
