Highlights from PM's address to the Parliament on No Confidence Motion 21.7.2018 Govt of india: PIB
I urge all parties to reject the motion that has been moved in the House Today the nation has seen the negativity expressed by some members. India saw how some people are so deeply opposed to development: If you were not prepared for the debate why did you bring the motion? Why were you trying to delay the motion The only thing they have to say- remove Modi What we saw among members of the Opposition was sheer arrogance.

Ahmedabad emerges as key garment manufacturing hub 20.7.2018 DNA: India
Once called as Manchester of the East, Ahmedabad is emerging as a major centre for manufacturing cotton garments across India. Low overhead costs and conducive city infrastructure are drawing key manufacturers to the city. The city, now home to around 5,000 manufacturers, has seen a significant spurt in the number — from about 500 — over a decade. While the local manufacturers have expanded their operations over the last couple of years, manufacturers from outside the state have also poured into the city because of the low cost of production. "No other major Indian city has so low overhead cost as Ahmedabad. Retail and wholesale buyers, as well as players of organized retails, have set their eyes on Ahmedabad to source products," said Vijay Purohit, president of Gujarat Garment Manufacturers Association (GGMA) which began three-day GGMA Garment Fair at Gujarat Universtiy Exhibition Ground on Thursday. Products are cheaper by about 30 per cent as compared to those in larger cities like Mumbai, also called ...

In the name of cheap flats, large-scale illegal construction has taken place in various areas in the twin cities. The district police, administration, registration department, power department are in the dock as massive illegal construction has taken place under their nose over the last few years. According to a senior administration official, Noida, Greater Noida and the Yamuna authorities are governed under the Uttar Pradesh Industrial Area Development Act, 1976, which means all the land in Gautam Budh Nagar is notified under them. Nobody can construct anything or get the map passed without their permission. In many cases, agriculture land was converted into residential purpose under section 143 of the land act. In many cases, the farmers sold the land to the local builders or constructed buildings for ...
