5 cr farmers yet to receive final dues under PM-Kisan 5.2.2020 Rediff: Business
The total amount of the scheme, which came into effect on December 1, 2018, is to be paid in three equal instalments of Rs 2,000 every four months. The data showed about 2.51 crore farmers have not got even the second instalment and 5.16 crore of them were yet to get the third instalment.

RBI Pulled up 29.1.2020 Central Chronicle
The Supreme Court of India has pulled up Reserve Bank of India and gave it “last chance” to provide information to the public under the Right to Information Act on bank defaulters. In way back in 2015 the Supreme Court ruled Reserve Bank would have to reveal information under the Right to Information Act on defaulters consisting show cause notices, action taken reports, audit and inspection reports and fines on banks. Two RBI activists Girish Mittal and SC Agrawal sought information on bank defaulters and in its 2015 decision the RBI was bound to furnish it. In 2015 the RBI said that it could not disclose such information under the secrecy of bank rules and practices was not accepted by the Supreme Court and the Central Right to Information Commission. The Supreme Court warned the Reserve Bank that it was giving last chance and would take serious view if such information was not provided. The principals of the educational institutions has warned against the arrest of the Principal of DPS Indore holding him responsible for the school bus mishap. The post of principal is academic and he cannot be held responsible for the management of his institution. It will be another matter if they are proprietors of the institute also. Initially the police and administration were hesitant in proceeding against the DPS Principal but ultimately he was summoned to the police station and arrested holding him responsible for the school bus mishap. More than hundred principal of different institutions in a meeting demanded withdrawal of criminal charges against the DPS Principal and he be exonerated from it. The Principals warned that within seven days if this is not done the schools would stop bus services and all of them would resign from the posts.
