Tesla to send more battery installers to Puerto Rico to restore power 7.10.2017 DNA: India
U.S. electric car and battery maker Tesla Inc's CEO Elon Musk said on Friday the company will send more battery installers to Puerto Rico to help restore power after Hurricane Maria knocked out all power on the island over two weeks ago. Musk also said in a tweet that he looked forward to talking to Puerto Rico Governor Ricardo Rossello on Friday about what Tesla could do to help restore power. "The internal Tesla Powerwall install team in (Puerto Rico) is very small right now. Sending experienced installers from continental U.S. to hire and train local team as fast as possible," Elon Musk said in a tweet, referring to the company's Powerwall battery system. Tesla declined to comment further. In late September, Tesla said it was sending hundreds of batteries that can store power generated by solar panels to Puerto Rico to provide emergency help in the wake of Hurricane Maria. Maria struck Puerto Rico on Sept. 20 as a very dangerous Category 4 hurricane with winds up to 155 miles per hour (249 km per ...

This is their third car. The main features of the car is that it can run for a distance of 180 km and attain a top speed of 80 km/hr. The customised solar panels provided by Tata Power Solar are made of high efficiency monocrystalline solar cells encapsulated with an aluminum back sheet and a poly carbonate front sheet. These light weight and highly efficient solar panels are placed along the curved surface of the car's roof, ensuring that the aerodynamics is not compromised. The solar panels also help increase the range of the car, which is crucial in ensuring speed and mobility. It comprises of the element 14 sponsored all the DAQ components. New artificial leaf creates fuel from sunlight and water 6.9.2017 DNA: Top News
Scientists have developed an artificial leaf that absorbs sunlight to generate hydrogen fuel from water, an advance that may provide clean energy for powering eco-friendly cars in the future. The ultra-thin wireless device mimics plant leaves to produce energy using water and sunlight. "It is known that hydrogen generation from renewable resources will be the ultimate solution to our energy and environment problems," said Chinnakonda S Gopinath, a senior principal scientist at the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR)-National Chemical Laboratory in Pune.  Gopinath said that his team had been working in the area of water splitting to generate hydrogen for nearly a decade. "Hydrogen burning gives energy and water as a side product, underscoring its importance and relevance to the present day world," he told PTI. Though India basked in sunlight, not enough had been done to translate it into energy, he said. "This line of research is very relevant to our country.  India is blessed with plenty ...
