Atal Memorials in MP 30.1.2020 Central Chronicle
It is quite natural for the Chief Minister Mr.Shivraj Singh Chouhan to be sensitive about Mr.Atal Bihari Vajpayee. He started his electoral political carrier from Vidisha Lok Sabha bye-election vacated by Mr.Atal Bihari Vajpayee. Mr.Chouhan has announced series of Atal memorials is the State. All the seven smart cities of Bhopal, Indore, Jabalpur, Gwalior, Ujjain, Sagar and Satna will be named Atal cities. It will have world class libraries, excellence and research centres. His life story will be included in school text books. The Habibganj Railway station and Bhopal AIIMS hospital will be named on Atal Bihari Vajpayee. The Habibganj is so named in the name of family member of the Nawab Bhopal family. At capital Bhopal a global skill park is being set up in 600 crores and it will be named on him. The State Government will institute five National Atal Bihari Vajpayee awards of five lakh each for poets, journalists and good governance. Prime Minister Mr.Narendra Modi on a day’s visit to Madhya Pradesh at Mohanpura in Rajgarh he dedicated Mohanpura irrigation Project. Various cities in the country have approached Ahmedabad to help them gain international recognition for their heritage. Indore, the cleanest city in India, is also receiving guidance for its own heritage walk. These events have happened after UNESCO declared the 5.4 sq km walled city of Ahmedabad as a World Heritage City last year. "What makes Ahmedabad truly distinctive is that the country's only heritage city is also emerging as a smart city. It has been an effort of the past 20 years which started with the Heritage Walk. Being the biggest stakeholders ourselves, we have all the relevant heritage stakeholders on board too. Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to Jaipur to attend Smart City conclave at the Jaipur Exhibition and Convention Centre (JECC) on July 7 has been called off. Officials in the state government engaged in planning of the event confirmed the development. “Yes, the JECC part of the PM’s programme stands cancelled,” a senior official said.  The Jaipur event was an attempt to showcase the impact of urban ministry schemes on ground in states, especially the poll bound states, informed sources. Prior to Jaipur, the Swachhta ranking of cities was held in Indore, while the third anniversary of smart cities program was being planned in Jaipur on July 6 and 7. Till now such programs were held in New Delhi. Both Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh go to polls towards the end of year.   Sources, however, are hopeful that the prime minister’s proposed programme at the Amrudon ka Bagh in Jaipur would happen as scheduled. “The details of the event shall be formalised only after a nod from Delhi,” an official said.
