A smaller rival "faked" the website of Aiplex Software Pvt Ltd, a Bangaluru-based company that provides privacy protection solutions to entertainment houses, and lured away its clientele that include MTV, Colors, Fox Star (India), Eros International and Bollywoodlife.com, police said. Abhishek Dhoreliya, MD and CEO of Markscan, is accused of roping in two software engineers to create a fake website of Aiplex and a fictitious e-mail ID in the name of its founder, Girish Kumar N. Police said they had arrested the two engineers — Ami Vivek, a native of Rajasthan, and Sushant M, from New Delhi — and were on the lookout for Dhoreliya. Markscan is based in Delhi. Aiplex and Markscan compete in the anti-piracy software business, providing content protection solutions to the entertainment industry (movies, TV shows), brands, e-books, games, software, etc. Aiplex has a larger clientele and specialises in protecting entertainment content posted on Google, Twitter and Facebook.
