According to the Annual Economic Survey of Madhya Pradesh for the year 2018-19 per capita income rose Rs.90,998 as compared to Rs.82,941 in 2017-18. Despite an increase of 9.71 per cent it remained much behind the All India average of Rs.1,26 lakh. In many fields the Madhya Pradesh is behind the other states. The national average of people living below the poverty line is 21.92 per cent but in Madhya Pradesh it is at high rate at 31.62 per cent. The infant death rate in the state is 47 per thousand which highest of India. The national average is 33 per thousand. The death of women at delivery in the state is 173 per lakh while the national average 130 death. The 52.4 per cent women in the state are suffering from anemia. In agriculture the state received National Krishi Karman Award for many years in continuation. The food production increased by four per cent. The state is having almost all the crops as bumper crops. But the wages of agricultural labourers are lowest in India at 210 rupees. The state ...

Not only capital city of Bhopal or state of Madhya Pradesh but entire country is facing the human tragedy by the stray dogs and animals. In Bhopal dog lynched infants to death, women was sitting in courtyard of her house with few months old child. She moved for few minutes and stray dogs dragged away the child and killed. In Koh-e-Fiza a school boy rushed towards his school bus and in between dog jumped on him and he was killed. In Awadhpuri boy was killed right before his house by a group of dogs. On such occasion for few days the division and district officials alongwith Municipal Corporation Mayor and Commissioner will hold hectic meeting to show that something concrete was being done but after few days and sittings the issue is ignored and dropped. It is roundhead policy that dog population could be controlled by the sterilization programme. Minor arrested with poppy husk 29.1.2020 Central Chronicle
Crime Watch Chronicle Crime Reporter, Bhopal,  Minor arrested with poppy husk Hanumanganj police have arrested a minor and seized 15 kilogram of poppy husk. Police got the tip from the informant that a minor boy with some suspicious material in his bag was waiting for the bus at Nadra bus stand, Bhopal. Police rushed to the spot and caught a youth by surrounding him. Youth was identified as a Mukesh Rasik son of Abbu Rasik aged 16 years, resident of Sindhi Camp village, district Raisen. When his bag was shakedown, big quantity of narcotics was recovered which he had brought it from Raisen and was attempting to sell to some of his client. Police recovered 15 kilogram of poppy husk from his possession. The value of the poppy is evaluated to rupees 25 thousand. Now police is interrogating the minor and started investigation. Agencies, New Delhi Taking up the farmers' cause in the Lok Sabha, Congress president Rahul Gandhi on Thursday attacked the Modi government for 'not taking concrete steps' in the Union Budget to provide relief to the farmers.
