As you might imagine, the stereotype involves a young woman walking home in the dark by herself. She is wearing a provocative outfit and has had a couple of drinks. A man (usually of a dark skin tone) jumps out from an alley or from behind a bush and drags her away. She is horrified, injured and shocked. She calls the police immediately and they begin to tirelessly search for this dangerous villain.

Phoenix • The Justice Department sued the nation’s self-proclaimed “toughest sheriff” on Thursday, calling Joe Arpaio’s defiance of an investigation into his office’s alleged discrimination against Latinos “unprecedented.” It’s the first time in decades a lawman has refused to cooperate in one of the agency’s probes, the department said.
GRANBY, Colorado - A moose ran into and injured a young child in the Grand Lake area around noon Thursday.
The 2 1/2-year-old boy was knocked over when the moose ran into him from behind at the Pine Beach area of Shadow Mountain Reservoir, according emergency officials. The boy was playing with his brother on the beach at the time, they said.

Hampton said that reports so far indicate the animal did not stop and attack the toddler.
The child, who suffered from what initially appeared to be a minor head injury, was flown from Granby Medical Center to Children's Hospital, Denver, said Emergency Medical Services Cpt. Nowell ...
